Why Toastmasters?

Let's face it - in today’s fast moving world, you often get only one chance to make your point.

Whether you are making a sales presentation, conducting a business meeting or interviewing for a new position - your communication skills can make all the difference.

You know you can't get great at speaking by just reading a book. But with a little training, practice and feedback in the fun atmosphere of a Toastmaster's meeting you will quickly gain competence and confidence.

What is Toastmasters anyway?

It's a non-profit international organization, which focuses on self-improvement through the development of communication and leadership skills.

In essence it's a group of people that get together to practice their speaking and leadership skills - in a pretty safe environment.

Who typically joins Toastmasters and why?

Wow! That's a complete bag of jelly beans! College students, single mothers, retired grandmothers (and grandfathers), people in career transition, corporate executives, professionals, business owners ....

You get the idea - pretty much anyone who wants to overcome their fear of public speaking.

Their reasons?
To make more persuasive business presentations, get a promotion, pass a class, win an argument with a spouse, stop sweating it when a number of listeners grows to three, effectively motivate others, become a public speaker, make new friends.... etc., etc.

So how does this work?

We meet bimonthly the first and third Thursday of the month for an hour  from      7:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Each meeting has a specific program and members take on different roles to practice speaking.

Everyone goes at their own pace - you start speaking when you feel ready. You will also receive great manuals to guide you along the way (your first ten speeches) and help you master the secrets of public speaking.

To start with you can visit as a guest without any obligation (and no - you will not have to speak if you don't want to).

How much will all of this cost me?

How about less than a cost of a so-so lunch with your significant other! That's right!

For less than $40 you get your initial six-month membership with the weekly meetings, all the materials you need to keep you busy for months, subscription to monthly Toastmasters International magazine with tons of great articles and tips on public speaking, and camaraderie with like-minded people.

What's even better - your next six months of membership will cost you even less - only $33!

Stand up and stand out!

Talk is cheap... but if you don’t do it right when it really counts it can be very expensive!

Don't let the fear of public speaking stop you from achieving great things in life!

With the help of Toastmasters for less than a cup of coffee a week in less than six months you can become a more confident public speaker!

Simply show up and check us out!

Attend a few meetings as a guest at no cost to you - so you can find out how Toastmasters works and meet other members. They all have a story about how nervous they used to be before they became a Toastmaster, and all are more than willing to share those stories and the tips they've picked up along the way.

We are looking forward to meeting you and here is our promise:

We won't torture you. You won't be forced or obligated to speak at all beyond the initial "hello".

See you the 1st and 3rd Thurday of the month at 7:30PM
